Former Council Chief Lloyd Phillips joins MCK political team
02/15/2016
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) is pleased to announce that Lloyd Phillips is the successful candidate for the position of Project Leader within the operations of the Office of the Council of Chiefs (OCC), which provides political support services for Chief & Council.
His first day of work is today.
Phillips served as a Council Chief from 1996 to 2006, and again from 2009 to 2015. He is very politically astute and had held various inter-governmental portfolios during his time in office, as well as representing the MCK at both the Assembly of First Nations and the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec & Labrador.
He joins Paul Nicholas as OCC Project Leader. The position became vacant when Winona Polson-Lahache was named OCC Chief Political Advisor last fall.
