Three chiefs head to Ottawa as Kahnawake Canada Relations meetings get back on track

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Ratsénhaienhs Joseph Tokwiro Norton, Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer and Clinton Phillips are travelling to participate in Kahnawà:ke/Canada Relations (KCR) meetings taking place in Ottawa tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday.
Representatives from the MCK’s Lands Unit and Membership Department, along with Chief Political Advisor Winona Polson-Lahache will also be present at the meetings, which will the first since the Liberals were victorious in the 2015 federal election.
The KCR table was created in February 2012 to explore ways to improve approaches to land management & development, and Membership issues.
