Four Membership Hearing dates set

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the next Hearing on proposed amendments to the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law will be held this coming Tuesday, April 26, 2016.

Once again, the Definition of �Great Grand Parent� will be on the agenda. Should this be concluded, Section 15 (�Application Process/Approved Kahnaw�:ke Residents�), Section 16 (�Entitlements�), Section 17 (�Privileges�), Section 18 (�Responsibilities of the Kanien�keh�ka of Kahnaw�:ke�) and Section 19 (�Obligations of Approved Kahnaw�:ke Residents�) will follow.

The meeting will be held from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Golden Age Club. This will be the twelfth meeting in this First Hearing phase of the Community Decision Making Process. The KLCC has also set the dates for the 13th, 14th and 15th meetings, as follows:

• Tuesday, May 17 at the Golden Age Club
• Tuesday, June 7 at the Golden Age Club
• Tuesday, June 14 at the Golden Age Club
