Federal Minister of Infrastructure visits Kahnawake

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawą:ke (MCK) would like to inform the community that Canadas Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, Amarjeet Sohi, will be in Kahnawą:ke today to meet with Chief Christine Zachary-Deom and Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton.
The agenda will include discussions on the need to adequately accommodate Kahnawą:kes needs in relation to the new Champlain Bridge project, and to present infrastructure needs within the community.
Representatives for the Kanienkehį:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Cultural Center and Kahnawą:kes theater group have been invited to be present at the meeting.
