Membership Law Hearing resumes next Tuesday May 17

The Kahnawà:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission (KLCC) would like to inform the community that the next Hearing on proposed amendments to the Kahnawà:ke Membership Law will be held this coming Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
Once again, the Definition of ‘Great Grand Parent’ will be on the agenda. Should this be concluded, Section 15 (‘Application Process/Approved Kahnawà:ke Residents’), Section 16 (‘Entitlements’), Section 17 (‘Privileges’), Section 18 (‘Responsibilities of the Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke’) and Section 19 (‘Obligations of Approved Kahnawà:ke Residents’) would follow.
The meeting will be held from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Golden Age Club. This will be the twelfth meeting in this First Hearing phase of the Community Decision Making Process. The KLCC has also set the dates for the 13th and 14th meetings, as follows:
- Tuesday, June 7 at the Golden Age Club
- Tuesday, June 14 at the Golden Age Club
