Major Mercier Bridge weekend closures

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated of several Mercier Bridge Blitz preparation closures to be carried out over the next three weekends.

The first weekend closure takes place from Friday, June 3rd at 10pm until Monday, June 6th at 5am.

During the work, the following configuration will be in place (see map):

-    Both directions of the bridge will be reduced to one lane.
-    The Montreal-bound Route 132 up ramp (from La Prairie) will be closed and traffic will be detoured towards the Route 138 upramp.
-    The Kahnaw�:ke-bound Route 138 down ramp (towards Chateauguay) will be closed and traffic will be detoured via Route 132 to Route 138. Note: trucks are not permitted to use this detour and must utilize Highway A30.



The remaining closure configurations will be announced the week leading up to the work. Motorists are advised to use alternate bridges during this time.

The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression, and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
