Ratsénhaienhs Clinton Phillips attending Lands & Environment conference in Vancouver

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that Ratsénhaienhs Clinton Phillips is in Vancouver to attend the Indigenous Community Land Use & Environment Planning conference.
Among the topics to be presented and discussed are:
• Best practices for consultation with the community • Bridging land use technical knowledge to Elder wisdom for land care • Defining the scope of land use plans and budgets • Building human resource capability within land use and natural resource departments
The keynote speaker is Chief Bill Williams, Councilor, Squamish First Nation.
Ratsénhaienhs Phillips is expected to return to the office on Friday.
Also attending on behalf of the MCK Lands Unit are Director Melanie Gilbert and General Manager of Operations Debbie Morris.
