Community invited to documentary premiere of Kanawaki Lease tonight

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to remind the community that the documentary entitled �Green Fees: The Evolution of the Kanawaki Lease� will premiere tonight at 7pm sharp at the Kahnaw�:ke Legion.

The documentary is just over 40 minutes long and will be followed by a Panel Discussion/Question & Answer session.

The Director, Gage Diabo, will be one of the panelists along with Rats�nhaienhs Carl Horn (Kanawaki Portfolio) and a representative from the Kanawaki Golf Club.

The documentary deals with the history of this unique lease and how it has evolved over 100 years to today.

�Green Fees� is a way to begin to inform Community Members on the Kanawaki Golf Club and the lease prior to Community Consultation, which begins this October as the rents are up for negotiation.

On that note, the MCK is pleased to announce that Linda Delormier has been named as the Kanawaki Consultation Officer on this project.
