Kanawaki Lease Consultations officially underway

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is pleased to announce that community consultations regarding the Kanawaki Golf Club Lease officially begin this month and will continue until the end of March 2017.
 
Phase One of the consultations will occur between October and December and will focus on education, while consultations from January to March 2017 will seek input and direction from Landholders and Community members.

During Phase One, Kanawaki Landholders will be mailed an information package which is expected to be in mailboxes by the end of this month. A Special Community Meeting on the Lease is also being scheduled for November (date TBD), at which time community members can obtain a similar information package.
 
Linda Delormier has been named the Consultation Officer for this file and is now available to discuss the Kanawaki Lease via email at kanawaki.lease@mck.ca or by telephone at 514-770-3904. Ms. Delormier will be contacting all Landholders directly in November.

Further, a special website containing all pertinent information for the project is under construction to be launched by the end of October. The community will be advised when the website goes live.
