Industry Canada engineers in Kahnawake to conduct tests on former CFCF radio towers

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that engineers working on behalf of Industry Canada are in Kahnaw�:ke to conduct tests of radio signals from the former CFCF towers located on Highway 138, just west of the Sports Complex.

The work is expected to last until next week.

While the engineers will often be on-site, they may be moving about to several areas in the community as part of the testing of radio wavelengths on 940AM. The two-person crew is using a black Honda with the name of the testing company, CommSpec, written on the front of the vehicle.

The towers are located on leased land that is privately held by Kahnaw�:ke owners, who are aware of the works that are currently taking place.
