Utilize the Curbside Recycling Collection service
11/23/2016
The Kahnawà:ke Waste Management Department is reminding the community to utilize the Household Recycling collection service as much as possible throughout the winter months.
Community members are asked to leave recyclables curbside as an alternative to dropping off at the Recycling Depot, as snow and freezing temperatures make it difficult to keep the area clean. Recyclable items sometimes freeze to the ground or blow into neighbouring yards. Please be mindful of the homes around the Recycling Depot.
Additionally, Waste Management employees will host a kiosk at the Kahnawà:ke Services Complex on Friday, December 16th to provide information on waste reduction and answer any questions related waste management services. Iotenatatkwéniens ne Onkwaná:takon (Beautifying Our Town).
Information on Recycling and Transfer Depot Services is available at the Waste Management office (located at the Town Garage), the Kahnawà:ke Library, online at www.kahnawake.com/wastemanagement or by calling (450) 632-5825.
