Chiefs visit Maliseet Nation for meetings

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Ratitsénhaienhs Joseph Tokwiro Norton, Martin Leborgne and Bobby Patton will be meeting with representatives of Tobique (Maliseet) First Nation in New Brunswick tomorrow (Wednesday).

The discussion topics will be Nation-to-Nation jurisdiction centering on hunting, fishing and harvesting, as well as economic development opportunities.

The three Ratitsénhaienhs will be out of the office the rest of this week for travel purposes. They will return on Tuesday, April 18, since Friday and Monday are holidays.
