The Public Safety Commission would like to announce the launch of the 2017 Community Consultation Survey on Crime Prevention and Community Policing. The survey seeks to receive feedback from community members on their perception of crime in Kahnawà:ke, and on the quality of service provided by the Kahnawake Peacekeepers. Results from the survey will assist in several areas, including strategic direction, policy development and a revision of the current Peacekeeper Law.
The project will be asking community members to fill out questionnaires that will be available through a kiosk located in the lobby of the Service Complex on Tuesday, June 27th, from 8:30am to 4pm, Wednesday, June 28th, from 1pm - 4pm, and Friday, June 30th, from 8:30am to noon. Those who participate will be entered into a draw to win a $75.00 shop Kahnawake gift certificate. It will also be available online at kahnawake.com/pksurvey.
The survey period closes Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 4pm.
A detailed report of the findings and recommendations will be made available to the community in September 2017.
