Recreation Bay Remediation Information Kiosk

07/04/2017

The Kahnaw:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) would like to invite all community members to an information kiosk on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 10am to 4pm at the Kahnawake Services Complex.

KEPO representatives will be presenting a proposed detailed design for the restoration of the Recreation Bay (Johnsons Beach) area, including a strategy for removing excess sediment, reducing nuisance aquatic plants and enhancing the shoreline and other natural areas in the bay.

KEPO will also be asking for community input into how the Recreation Bay should be restored so that it meets the communitys needs. Feedback will be gathered through informal discussions, interactive posters and written surveys.

Please contact the Kahnaw:ke Environment Protection Office at 450-635-0600 for further information.
