Splash Pad operational Friday - Grand Opening moved to August

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the Community that only the splash pad portion of the new recreation park at the former K103 site will be operational this Friday, July 14.

The MCK regrets to announce that the official Grand Opening ceremony (and BBQ) for the Splash Pad Recreation Park has, once again, been re-scheduled to early August at the former K103 site. The postponement is due to landscaping issues, which are not expected to affect the splash pad portion.

However, the Splash Pad will be operational as of this coming Friday for the children to enjoy for the remainder of the summer.

Community members will be invited to the Grand Opening ceremony (and BBQ) once the new date is announced. Once fully completed, the facility will include the Splash Pad, a full-size basketball court and, eventually, a lacrosse rebound wall.
