The Kahnawà:ke Organizations Communications Network is pleased to announce the premiere of The Story Teller′s Vault on Thursday, October 19 on Kaná:takon TV Channels 300 & 399.
The series features local producers pitching their ideas for a new Kahnawà:ke TV show to a panel of judges who decide whether or not to fund their creative pilot projects. Contestants will have their chance at a total of $5000, made possible by the Caisse Populaire Kahnawà:ke′s Community Development Fund.
The show airs Thursdays through Sundays and again on Tuesdays. New episodes will begin every Thursday. The show will run through Christmas.
“We are very excited to see the new TV shows developed by our very creative Community members," said Alana Atwin, KEC Communications Officer. "What′s great about this project is that the Tellers Vault mirrors the concept of the Caisse Community Development Fund, and promotes our Community Vision Statement.” Free airtime for each pilot show is courtesy of the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Cultural Center, who operate Kaná:takon TV.
