Various Community Meetings postponed in respect of recent tragedies

Chief and Council wish to advise Kahnawa�kehr�:non that the Fall Community Meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 21 2017. The meeting, which will be held at the Moose Lodge, was originally scheduled for 14, Kentenhk�:wa/November. The agenda will be announced shortly.

The Kahnaw�:ke Language and Culture Network wishes to inform all Kahnawa′kehr�:non that, in respect and consideration of all those affected by the recent tragic events that have taken place in our community, including a Fair organizer directly, the Language and Culture Fair scheduled for November 1st and 2nd will be postponed. New dates will be announced as soon as they are determined.

The Lands Unit will also postpone the first ever Community Conference on Kahnaw�:ke Lands, originally scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th at the Moose Lodge. The Conference is the culmination of a thirty (30) week information campaign and consultation process that began in early spring 2017. A new date will be announced to the community when it is available.

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke, on behalf of all the above mentioned groups/organizations, wish to extend sincere condolences to the families during this difficult time.
