Kahnawake Legislative Coordinating Commission receives second request for Cannabis legislation

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to inform the community that it has received an additional request for legislation regarding Cannabis. The request, submitted by the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke�s Cannabis Working Group, is titled �Kahnaw�:ke Cannabis Control Law.�

As per the normal procedure, the submission has been sent to the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke�s Legal Services for categorization. The community will be informed of the categorization once that process has been completed.

A community member had earlier submitted a request for legislation regarding Cannabis, as announced on 18, Kent�nha/October 2017 via a press release. 

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission will follow its usual processes in this matter and further information will be forthcoming
