Horn-Miller court proceedings to begin Monday

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that court proceedings will begin on Monday regarding the lawsuit brought against the MCK by Waneek Horn-Miller and fifteen (15) other persons.
The trial will take place at the Quebec Superior Court at the Longueuil Courthouse and is scheduled to take place between 27, Kentenhkó:wa/November and 13, Tsothóhrha/December 2017. Monday’s proceedings will begin at 9:30 am, with the remaining days scheduled for 9:15 am.
A certain number of Council Chiefs, including Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton and Ietsénhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer, who holds the Membership Portfolio, are scheduled to testify on behalf of the MCK.
The MCK reminds community members who wish to attend to conduct themselves in a respectful manner.
