Christmas Tree Pick-up service

The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform residents that Christmas Trees will be picked up as part of the bi-weekly Special Recycling Collection on weeks of January 7 and January 22, 2018.
To ensure that your tree is picked up:
- Please make certain that all decorations have been removed
- Please ensure that the tree does not freeze in the snow bank
- Place curbside by 7 am on your regular ‘special collection’ pick-up date
For those wishing to drop off their tree, there will also be a special bin at the Transfer Depot throughout January.
This service is being provided in accordance with the Community Waste Reduction Plan. Collected trees will be transported to a composting facility, rather than to a landfill site.
