Reminder - Tioweroton Lands Conference this Saturday

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to remind all Kahnawa′kehr�:non and Kanehsata�kehr�:non that the �2018 Tiower�:ton Conference� takes place this Saturday, February 3,  from 9 am to 2 pm at the Golden Age Club.
 
The conference is open to both communities and will focus on various land-based issues related to the Territory.
 
�We felt the Tiower�:ton Land Use Plan Framework deserved its own event,�  said Land Use Coordinator Cole McComber. "It�ll be an opportunity for community members to express what they see as important to include in the Tiower�:ton Land Use Plan Framework.�  
 
The event is a follow-up to the first ever Kahnaw�:ke Lands Conference that took place last December, which was based on a thirty (30) week information campaign and consultation in 2017. Prior consultations included community-wide surveys, one-on-one interviews, and focus groups.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided, and door prizes will be available to participants.
