Peacekeepers looking for eight new officers

02/07/2018

Forwarded on behalf of the Kahnawake Peacekeepers
The Kahnawake Mohawk Peacekeepers are looking for eight (8) new officers. The notice for applications was issued earlier today for the indeterminate (permanent) full-time positions with a twelve (12) month probationary period.

“We have come to a time when many of the officers who started together back in the 1990’s – and, in some cases, a little earlier – are reaching retirement age,” said Chief Peacekeeper Dwayne Zacharie. “In the past three years, we’ve had seven Peacekeepers retire, with more scheduled soon.”

“We’re working towards expanding services to meet the needs of our community, so this is a good time for new people to get in on the ground floor,” he concluded.

The deadline to apply is Wednesday, 21 Enníska/February 2018. For more information, go to www.kahnawake.com/jobs .
