Canada Telephone Tax Filing System

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) Legal Department wishes to inform the community that it has received inquiries regarding the validity of letters received through Canada Post about Canada′s new telephone tax filing system.

Mr. John Latour (MCK Tax Consultant) verified the legitimacy of these letters directly with Revenue Canada. Upon discussion with Revenue Canada, it was determined that the letters are legitimate and that this is a new service being provided to individuals. Individuals are not required to use this service but are free to do so if they so choose.
