Recycle Truck out of commission

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke Waste Management Department (WMD) wishes to notify the community that the recycle collection truck is experiencing mechanical problems and will be out of commission until further notice.

The WMD will employ the former method of collection using the truck and trailer beginning as soon as possible this morning. Significant delays are expected to occur, so please be patient. 

Residents are asked to place only full bins to the curb and to use clear bags if possible to facilitate collection. Bins will not be fully emptied until the truck is back in service.

The WMD apologizes for the inconvenience this may cause, and are working quickly to get the repairs underway.

Please be reminded to place only recyclable materials in the blue bin.
