Electoral Officer appointed for 2018 MCK Election

The Executive Director�s Office of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke wishes to advise the community that Angus L. Montour will be the Electoral Officer for the upcoming Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) election being held on 7, Ohiari�k�:wa/July 2018.

Mr. Montour was elected by acclamation, as he had been the only person to apply for the position. As per the recently-amended Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke Election Law, due diligence was conducted by the Kahnaw�:ke Justice Commission, who then informed the Executive Director�s Office that Mr. Montour had met the criteria included in the Regulation and that he formally accepted the position.
