Seigneury Community Group Receives Contract Extension

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke has extended the contract of the Seigneury Community Group (SCG), also known as Ratirhiwaro:roks.

The Seigneury Community Group, headed by Trina Skye-Norton, has been granted an additional eight (8) weeks in order to fulfill its mandate. The extension was granted after the SCG encountered some delays due to the holiday season and a staffing issue.

The SCG was contracted by the MCK in October of 2007, to provide updates and consult with community members on the Seigneury file. The work was originally scheduled to be completed at the end of this month.
