Kanienkehaka of Kahnawake Law Second Hearing continues tomorrow (Tuesday)

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission wishes to remind the community that the fourth meeting of the  Second Hearing for proposed amendments to the  Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Law (formerly known as the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law) will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) evening at the Golden Age Club..

The agenda will be as follows:

  • Sec. 9: Composition and Powers of the Community Review Board
  • Sec. 10: Application for Recognition
  • Sec. 11: Adopted Children
  • Sec. 13: Responsibilities of Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke
  • Sec. 14: Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Pledge
  • Sec. 15: Suspension of Entitlements, continuation, clauses 15.2 and 15.3
  • Sec. 16: Revocation of Entitlements
  • Sec. 17: Renunciation
  • Sec. 18: Regulations
  • Sec. 24: Transitory Provisions

The fifth meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 Onerahtohk�:wa/ May 2018. Both Hearings will take place at the Golden Age Club from 6pm to 8:30pm.
