May Compost Awareness Month

To celebrate International Compost Week (May 6-12) the MCK Waste Management Department is dedicating the month of May to composting awareness and the Kahnawà:ke Waste Management Department will be providing community members with information on composting, workshops and tips on how to start a compost.

The Waste Management Department is conducting a 3 question survey to understand how much composting is currently taking place in Kahnawà:ke. The information will help with future planning as it relates to community composting and residual waste disposal.

Waste Management technicians will be hosting a Kiosk in the Services Complex lobby on Friday, May 4th from 9am to 3:30pm.
