Kanien�keh�ka of Kahnawake Law Second Hearing resumes next Tuesday

The Kahnaw�:ke Legislative Coordinating Commission would like to advise the community that the fourth meeting of the Community Decision Making Process Second Hearing for proposed amendments to the Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Law (formerly known as the Kahnaw�:ke Membership Law) will take place on Tuesday, 15 Onerahtohk�:wa/May 2018 at the Golden Age Club.

The agenda will be as follows:

  • Composition and powers of the Community Review Board
  • Application for Recognition
  • Adopted Children
  • Responsibilities of Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke
  • Kanien�keh�:ka of Kahnaw�:ke Pledge
  • Suspension of Entitlements
  • Revocation of Entitlements
  • Renunciation
  • Regulations
  • Transitory Provisions

The Hearing will begin promptly at 6:00pm and end at 8:30pm. Copies of the Draft Law and Records of Discussion for previous meetings are available for review at www.kahnawakemakingdecisions.com.
