Mercier Bridge closures this weekend
05/10/2018
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke has been informed by the Ministère des Transport du Quebec (MTQ) that the Kahnawà:ke-bound Mercier Bridge (towards South Shore) will be closed from 2am on Saturday May 12th until Monday May 14th at 5am.
During this time, there will be two-way traffic on the Montreal-bound bridge (3.2 meters in each directions). The Airlie Street access to the Kahnawà:ke-bound Bridge will also be closed for the duration. Detours will be clearly indicated.
The MCK, MTQ and the Réseau de Transport Metropolitan (RTM) will have some traffic mitigation measures in place for this weekend’s bridge work, including extra Peacekeepers for traffic duty, and after-hours use of the bus lane for buses under the administration of the RTM.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
