Additional Spring Animal Vaccination Clinic announced
05/14/2018
The Animal Protection Department is pleased to announce an additional Spring Animal Vaccination Clinic at the Animal Protection building (next to K103 Radio).
The clinic is from 9am to 1pm (3pm if necessary) on Sunday, June 3rd.
Interested parties should contact Deidra Whyte at Animal Protection for full details and to book an appointment at (450) 632-0635.
A registered veterinarian (vet) will be on-site to provide a quick check-up, vaccination, and preventative services for cats and dogs provided at a lower cost than at a vet's office, plus administration fees of $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents ($20 annual membership fee required for non-residents). All fees are the responsibility of the pet owner.
Several shots and products/preventatives will be available to protect your pet against diseases like the Parvo Virus, Rabies, and Heartworm, or to help with Ticks and Fleas. These are just a few of the available services.
Incidents of Heartworm and Lyme disease are on the rise amongst Kahnawà:ke pets due to the earlier season of mosquitoes (Heartworm) and deer ticks (Lyme). Please help prevent the contraction of these diseases and protect your pets by vaccinating and administering preventatives.
