Please do not Obstruct Fire Hydrants

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawá:ke would like to ask that community homeowners and snow removal contractors refrain from pushing & packing snow around fire hydrants.

The Public Works department clears the area around fire hydrants after each storm for emergency access by the fire department. Packing snow around hydrants severely hampers fire fighting operations should they arise.
