Public notice regarding survey at proposed Multi-Purpose Building site

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK), on behalf of the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language & Cultural Center (KORLCC) and the Turtle Island Theatre Company, would like to inform the community that the firm Groupe ABS will be conducting a survey and geotechnical investigation at the site of a proposed Multi-Purpose Building on SLS 11, west of the Kahnawake Survival School.
The proposed building will house the Cultural Center, a museum, and a multi-purpose auditorium.
The work is expected to begin on Friday, 1 Ohiarí:ha/June and conclude by Friday, 8 Ohiarí:ha/June, weather permitting. It will include a topographic survey of the site, including surveying of the trees. The work is part of the Feasibility Study that must take place in order to verify that the potential project can move forward in that area.
All work will comply with MCK specifications and regulatory framework.
