Nitsénhaienhs attending 39th AFN Annual General Assembly

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton and Ietsénhaienhs Kahsennenhawe Sky-Deer will be attending the 39th Assembly of First Nations Annual General Assembly being held in Vancouver, BC from Tuesday, July 24th to Thursday, July 26th.

The agenda includes such topics as:
  • AFN Election for National Chief
  • Education
  • Health
  • Housing & Infrastructure
  • Jordan’s Principle
  • Languages
  • Modern Treaties
  • Safe Drinking Water
Monday, July 23rd and Friday, July 27th are travelling days. The Nitsénhaienhs are expected back in the office on Monday, July 30th.
