Grand Chief returns to Ireland to continue meeting on partnerships

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton is traveling to Ireland to participate in the D’Arcy McGee International Forum from Wednesday to Friday, 15-17 Seskéha/

He was invited to speak as a follow-up to previous meetings in Ireland and Kahnawà:ke earlier this year.

“We have had good discussions in the past with the Ireland Canada University Foundation, which has opened the door to creating partnerships or relationships in matters of education. Of course, this could open doors in other areas, which we are excited about.”

The D’Arcy McGee International Forum brings together influential parties from Ireland and Canada specifically to build relationships. Grand Chief Norton will be the main speaker on ‘Perspectives on Reconciliation.’ He will also be on the panel for the final event, ‘Looking to the Future.’
