Ratsénhaienhs Ross Montour in Nova Scotia to attend Claims conference

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that Ratsénhaienhs Ross Montour is attending the National Claims Research Workshop being held today through Friday in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

The workshop will feature a number of specialized sessions geared towards addressing specific claims, which deal with past grievances of First Nations related to Canada’s obligations under historic treaties and the management of First Nations’ assets.

The event is being co-hosted by the Confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq and the Millbrook First Nation.
