The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to advise the community that Grand Chief Joseph Tokwiro Norton and Ietsénhaienhs Gina Deer (who is responsible for the Gaming file on behalf of the MCK) are in London, England this week to attend the annual ICE Totally Gaming conference.
The event will take place from Tuesday to Thursday. It brings together both online and offline gaming sectors and is widely regarded as the largest conference of its type in the world.
“As long as we participate in the online industry, it is in our best interest to maintain the relationships we’ve developed, and to continue to create new ones,” stated Grand Chief Norton. “The ICE conference provides a forum to answer questions that potential clients may have about our jurisdiction and effective regulatory systems. Of course, this conference has played a significant role in increasing our revenue streams over the years.”
“Finally, let’s not forget that we have been part of this industry since its infancy,” he concluded. “Kahnawà:ke has participated in every ICE conference since 1998.”
The Kahnawake Gaming Commission and Mohawk Online will also be represented at this year’s event.
