Bill S-3 Youth Info Session February 28th

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke S-3 Working Group is inviting Youth between the ages of 16 and 30 to take part in a Special S-3 Info Session at the Kahnawake Youth Center on Thursday, February 28th, from 7 to 8pm.
It has been stated that Bill S-3 Amendments to the Indian Act is Canada′s latest assimilation attempt. For Kahnawà:ke alone, Canada projects S-3 registrations could add 35,000 to 65,000 persons to the Mohawks of Kahnawake federal list. Kahnawake’s list, the ‘Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawà:ke Registry’ currently lists approximately 6500 people.
