Kahnawake Water Safe to Consume

The Public Works Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke wishes to inform the community that due to the recent thaw, it is necessary that the Water Filtration Plant increase the dosage of chlorine to combat the higher amount of bacteria in the water at this time.

Unfortunately, this results in a strong odor, but the water is clean, clear and safe to consume. The odor should only last for a few days.
