Roads in Tioweroton nearly impassible

The Lands Unit of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke is advising the Community that road conditions in Tiower�:ton are making it extremely difficult for vehicles to travel.

The current rain and ongoing spring thaw are causing soft and muddy conditions on roads. That, combined with deep ruts, makes the roads nearly impassible. There is currently one vehicle stuck that cannot be moved until conditions change.

Caretakers are advising not to frequent the Territory unless necessary, and to allow the thaw and impassible road conditions to run its course.
