May is Compost Awareness Month

The Waste Management Department (Waste Management) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke would like to inform the community that May is Compost Awareness Month.

Tips on backyard composting will be made available all month long on Facebook @recyclinginkahnawake , and at a Kiosk to be held at the Services Complex on Wednesday, May 15th.

Also, Waste Management is proud to announce that new Compost Collection Bins have arrived. For those interested in taking part in the collection; a kitchen counter catcher, compost collection bin and information on what belongs in the bin can be picked up at the Waste Management office, located at the Town Garage.
