Second Call for Candidates for Cannabis Control Board

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to advise the community that it has issued a second call seeking individuals to serve on the Cannabis Control Board (“the Board”).
At the duly-convened Council meeting on Monday, May 3rd, Chief & Council decided to issue a second call to seek out a more diverse representation of potential candidates to sit as Board members.
“With a body as important as the Cannabis Control Board, Chief & Council want to ensure that the composition of the Board will be as representative of the community as possible,” said Ietsénhaienhs Tonya Perron. “This Board will be responsible for the development of the regulations required within the Kahnawà:ke Cannabis Control Law, as well as the administration and enforcement of the law in the community and, as such, we felt there was a need to broaden the pool of applicants.”
Those interested in applying to sit as a Board member must submit a letter of intent to the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke.
