MCK offers condolences on passing of beloved bus driver

07/10/2019

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to offer its sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Leslie Paradis, who passed away suddenly at the age of 34, just two weeks shy of her 35th birthday.

She had worked as a bus driver for the MCK since 2008 and had been most recently employed on the Chateauguay/Mary Gardner run. She was very popular with the students whom she transported to school on a daily basis and will be dearly missed.

“She was the sweetest, kindest person you could ever meet,” said her cousin Erica Delisle, the MCK’s Director of Financial Services. “She was truly beautiful, inside and out. Her passing is a huge loss not only for her family, but for the children of Kahnawà:ke, and the Jehovah’s Witnesses community as well. Leslie will be missed but never, ever, forgotten.”

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall in Chateauguay.

She is survived by her mother, Renee Beauvais, her brother Robbie, and her large extended family.
