Iroquois Caucus to meet in Oneida

Chiefs Johnny Montour and Martin Leborgne are traveling to Oneida of the Thames (Ontario) to take part in a two-day meeting of the Iroquois Caucus scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, 28-29 Onerahtohkó:wa/May.
Agenda items include the tobacco issue (follow-up re:Stockwell Day/RCMP report); border crossing I.D. update; discussion on the proposed Matrimonial Real Property Law; follow-up on proposed Bill C-30 (land claims tribunal); AFN Chief Phil Fontaines invitation to meet with the Caucus; and strategic planning.
The Caucus consists of chiefs and technicians from Akwesasne, Kahnawą:ke, Kanesatake, Six Nations, Tyendinaga, Wahta and Oneida.
Chiefs Montour and Leborgne will return to the office on Friday, 30 Onerahtohkó:wa/May.
