Fieldwork to Treat Local Ash Trees
08/12/2019
The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) would like to inform the community of environmental fieldwork occurring in the territory. Work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 13, 2019. It should take two days to complete.
KEPO has retained the services of arborists Services d’arbres Primeau to carry out follow up annual applications of TreeAzin to approximately forty-six (46) local ash trees. TreeAzin is a natural, botanical, systemic insecticide that can be used against the Emerald Ash Borer to protect high value ash trees. The trees in question are located on common land and Services d’arbres Primeau technicians will be accompanied by KEPO staff at all times.
Trees treated with TreeAzin require treatment every year during the EAB infestation. If you would like more information, or if you need help identifying a tree, please contact KEPO at 450-635-0600.
