Important Notice � Public Safety revokes Permit for Groupe Alliance

The Mohawk Council of Kahnaw�:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that the Public Safety Unit has REVOKED the Hawkers & Peddlers Permit that had been issued to a company identifying itself as Groupe Alliance.

Public Safety and MCK had received calls concerning the representatives� business practices. Following this, it was decided to inform the company that their permit has been revoked.

�The Hawkers & Peddlers criteria needs to be reviewed and updated,� said Rats�nhaienhs Frank McComber. �Door-to-door salespersons wishing to operate here need to follow best business practices. Due to the changing times we need to ensure that the criteria for these permits meet the current needs of the community. Kahnawa�kehr�:non need to have confidence that those knocking on their doors have met all of our requirements to ensure best practices to avoid any further issues.�

Kahnawa�kehr�:non always have the right to verify the validity of Hawkers & Peddlers Permit or voice their concerns about their sales methods or behaviors by contacting the Public Safety Unit at 450-632-0635.
