KEPO seeking participants in pilot project
08/28/2019
The Kahnaw:ke Environment Protection Office (KEPO) of the Mohawk Council of Kahnaw:ke (MCK) is seeking community participation in the Enhanced Maritime Situational Awareness (EMSA) pilot project.
EMSA is a web-based mapping system that provides a wide variety of information focused on the marine environment. The MCK is looking to use the system to improve access to the North Wall, protect the environment, and improve public safety. The system has applications for community members who regularly use the waterways or are involved in geographic research.
The MCK would like community participation in the pilot project and feedback on the system. Community access stations for EMSA can be found at KEPO and at the Kahnaw:ke Library. Personal accounts for the system are also available upon request.
Please contact the Kahnaw:ke Environment Protection Office at 450-635-0600 or environment.protection@mck.ca for more information on the EMSA pilot project.
