Pet Micro-chipping clinic September 29th
09/16/2019
The Animal Protection Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce a Micro-Chipping Clinic scheduled for Sunday, September 29th from 1pm to 4pm at the Animal Protection Building.
A veterinary technician will be on-site to perform the service for $40 (Visa, debit, or cheque – No cash). Appointments will be every 10 minutes; however, walk-ins are welcome.
The pet owner’s contact information is stored on the microchip, about the size of a grain of rice, and inserted under the skin between the pet’s shoulder blades. It is a standard procedure of veterinarians, animal shelters and animal protection officers to check for these micro-chips.
Lost pets with a microchip generally have a higher return rate than those without one. Please note, the microchip is not a GPS for your pet.
For further information or to make an appointment, please contact Deidra Whyte at the Animal Protection Department by telephone at (450) 632-0635.
