POSTPONED - JCCBI to install new drainage pipes on the Mercier Bridge
11/13/2019
The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) has been informed by the Jacques Cartier & Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) that, due to weather conditions, they postponed works to install new drainage pipes on the Mercier Bridge, scheduled to begin this morning at 7am.
JCCBI has rescheduled the work to begin at 7am on Thursday, November 14th, and continue until Friday, November 15th, at 2pm.
The work will require the closing of a section of the old Depot Road/Old Malone Highway east of the CPR Tunnel. Traffic will be diverted to a temporary detour road, with alternating traffic. Flagmen will be on-site for safety and to control the flow of traffic.
The MCK reminds the public that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions, operational constraints, or work progression and that it does not take part in the scheduling or cancellation of such works.
