MCK purchases 1.84 acres of privately-held land

The Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke (MCK) wishes to inform the community that it has purchased 1.84 acres of privately-held land on Route 207 directly across from the Kanawaki Golf Club.

The purchase includes the entirety of Lot 2, Block C previously owned by three community members. The land is unoccupied and undeveloped. It will be added to the Common and held for future use.

The purchase was approved and passed by Consensus at this Monday’s duly-convened Council meeting.
